It’s official, Summer 2013 is now here in the
Philippines. The sun is ready to heat up the earth, and as tradition Filipino
families always go to swimming or anything that will take away the summer
madness. Water camp is not far beyond Metro Manila, it’s less than an hour
travel starting from Baclaran to Kawit Cavite and it’s one of the finest resorts in
Cavite in a reasonable price compared to our last treat at Casa Ibiza Antipolo back in 2012.
And speaking of “treat”, I personally thanked to
Jamolin Family. Cheers!
When planning an outing I normally had an ocular
check for reviews, money should worth if want to experience an ultimate summer experience. But
thanks to the coolest girl ever [she-who-cannot-be-named] who made the
reservations for eight people. No need for reviews since its their treat,
arte ka pa ba? J
THE LODGE
Water Camp accepts day and overnight visitors,
and those who chose overnight like us, Family Villas and Inns are open 24
hours. We stayed in Villas [Acacia] which has old style Filipino houses. The
walls and ceilings are made of bamboos sticks with two aircon units. There are four
Villas which stand out among the inns, each unit has clothes cabinet,
kitchenette with sink, and refrigerator. Villas is the best for family who
wanna stay together where you can play games, cook and eat outside. [please see the prices below].
THE RESORT
Inside the resort is pretty relaxing, trees and
plants are planted everywhere, combination of green and blue. Music also is
soothing to your ears if you wanna feel the groove by moves of Janet Jackson, N’Sync, BoysIIMen,
etc. Okay back to the 90s. Whoaa..okay I was looking for something new but haven’t heard any.
There are also playgrounds for your children. One is
an ordinary slides and the other one is in the middle of the pool with
sprinklers.
And for the kids and adults, there are six pools
to choose. Wave Pool is the new addition, from the beat of the siren – a sign
of tiny waves to feel the breeze of the real sea currents.
Slides are another thing to consider, a
real plunge will definitely reminds you of summer experience. Be careful
though, you are going to land to a 4ft deep. Blue one is two-storey high, the Red one is four-storey high.
My new favourite is the Lazy River. If you want
to feel relaxation, bring yourself “salbibada” where you can sleep and relax.
The river will spin you around in cyclic rotation. I think this is the best practice for runners in reverse
