2 SAGADA: VISITING MT. KILTEPAN VIEWPOINT AND BUFFET BODEGA'S ORANGE PICKING

Fogs all over the Kiltepan Viewpoint.
It’s really hard to wake up in a very low temperature. Especially if your body is not keen to low temperatures and its 4AM. Nah I bet all you wanna do is hide your poor body in a thick blankets and curve your knees like the actual fetus. Oh poor boy, but in the end itinerary won the game, and should be followed.

Before we get outside, we were covered with thick jackets. I have two, one is thermal with hoodie and another one is winter jacket. No need for bonnet but I have one prepared. In front George Guesthouse we were picked up by an L300 Van. The ride is composed of different nationalities and it took around 20 minutes ride all the way to the vantage point of Mt. Kiltepan. We paid P155/head.

Local and Foreign tourists waiting for the Sunrise.
Mt. Kiltepan is covered with forest of Pine Trees and surrounded with thick fogs.
We stayed for few hours and patiently waiting for beautiful Sunrise as it will pass through the Pine Trees that is covered with fogs. I wonder how beautiful it is when the rays are traveling towards the earth and mixed of red-orange and white colors. Imagine of Picturesque scene, perfect for photographers.

Unfortunately...

No clearing and it's already past 7 in the morning. The driver told us that the Sun may appear around 8 - 9AM. As much as I would like to stay however we have the catch our next destination to also catch possibly the last trip going back to Baguio. I realized it was then Christmas day so most probably there will be limited number of bus trips.

Failed! No Sunrise all we have to do is give the best shot of shy smile. :)
I left the place with a heavy heart. You know the feeling that the best gift you could get to open the day is the fierce of the Sun who bring all the colors which give meaning to the world. Not just a simple and typical day, but it's Christmas Day. I've been into different mountain tops and I can’t just allow the day passed without witnessing the sunrise.

Unfortunately time is running and we have to go what is planned.

Next stop is one of the favorite tourist spots. Honestly before coming here I made sure that Orange Picking is on the list. And Viola, though the day started of no Sunrise yet fulfilled with an Orange picking from the Orange trees right before your eyes. Oh yeah! You will get excite when you know it’s not very common thing from your naked eye. Example is the Orange Tree.

Buffet at the Bodega, Souvenir Shops.

Since I was really excited to see the Orange Farm, I had to order quickly for breakfast. We were with Kyoko, a witty Japanese girl and Michelle serious woman from New Zealand - our newly found friend along the trip. I asked them to order then while waiting for the food we will be going to Orange farm.

The first batch stayed longer so they didn't allow us to come unless they arrived. So instead of waiting for them, and yet the food is ready so we decided to eat breakfast first then Orange farm after.

Breakfast price range from P100 - P200.

While enjoying our breakfast, everyone share stories. So since we are the Filipino so we were the one who asked them what they do and why they're here and sort out of things. Michelle travels a lot as in a lot, she travels 100% of the Europian countries and now she is currently residing in Indonesia teaching Physical Education in an International School. Teaching is not the main reason why she is in Asia, she wanted to travel the entire South East Asian countries and teaching is the way so she could finance her travels.

Kyoko on the other hand, is living in the country working in a Japanese firm. She is also teaching Filipino employees so if the employer send them to Japan it won't be hard for them to communicate. She said after this Sagada, four days after she will be flying to Palawan - Iloilo - Boracay.

Entrance fee for Orange farm is P50 and you can east all you want there. You can also pick oranges for Pasalubong for P50/kilo, I'm not sure how much but close. They will be providing plastic bags and tools for easy orange picking.

Buffet at the Bodega, Dining Area.
We were getting closer as we enjoyed our conversation. I almost forgot what excite me the most – the orange farm. Until farm guide broke out our in depth conversation and asked us if we would still want to go to Orange farm. Ah darn. Of course.

The Orange Trees!!!
I'm serious, picking Oranges.
Of course the evidence. Hehe. Selfie.
The Spider web and the Oranges.
Michelle, Ariel, Me, and Kyoko.

Hi! Me and my friends were planning to visit Sagada especially Mt. Kiltepan. As we are opting to rent a van, what's the nearest stay in for an overnight and how much a room cost based on your experience? Your input is much appreciated since we're first timers in travelling
