2 Breakfast/Lunch at the Yoghurt House, Sagada.

The Famous Yoghurt House, Sagada.
The misplaced energy has been revived and the ruined itinerary must have follow even for a little amount of time staying in Sagada. So before heading to whatever on the itinerary we have to take something for starving stomach.

Sagada is known for its best flavor and taste of different cookery. In fact I heard that most of the chefs are Europeans.

Hmmm..let’s have a try then.

Yoghurt House has been mounting on the internet as the best flavor in town. So we chose to have brunch there to attest what they can offer. It is seated very close to the town proper beside SAGGAS and only few meters away from the Guesthouse. Therefore it is easy for us to catch up and save time.

Salt and Pepper Diner is another popular diner house and is also pretty close from the tourist information center. However we decided to go check what Yoghurt House can provide. And hoping can exceed our expectations. Not to mention I'm in love of food porn.

Outside Yoghurt House. The door is closed yet it is widely open.
Salt & Pepper Diner, at the Second Floor above the souvenir store.
The place is fairly small but already enough to provide relaxing ambiance to their patrons. It’s like resto in the house. Feel at home while outside, I must say. I relate the place likewise as 8605 Bagnet in Estrella St. Makati. But of course the panoramic view outside is unparalleled.

It is a two-storey establishment. The ground floor is where the kitchen, small library, a desktop set where you can surf for P50 per hour. On the corner side is also where the fireplace, perfect for cold nights to warm up while sipping hot coffee, smoking, spending quality time with family and friends.

You can also see different photos highlighting the story behind Sagada. It is hanged on the walls which made my feet became itchier to go explore the town. We chose to stay upstairs to get the perfect view. It has also veranda where you can stay and take your meal. Some patrons stayed there to smoke.

Veranda offers the best panoramic.

By the way, I dunno if this is true. I have no basis but I guess I need a confirmation.

Umuulan daw tuwing alas dos ng hapon...

Out of nowhere, when I get back to Manila. An officemate who's been there June of 2013 asked me, umulan ba siya ng mga alas dos ng hapon?

Interesting and somewhat creepy...

I confirmed it yes. The sky is already grey that time so I know it will rain any time. After we ordered food and while waiting, I entertained myself on taking photos outside, then few minutes later it rained. So I'm not sure if this is really true and haven't asked a local there. So I dunno.

View outside the window.

Anyway Yoghurt House serves pasta, rice meals, sandwiches and of course their special yoghurt favorites. They offer large menu so there’s a lot of food to choose depends on your taste, from Hot Drinks to Extra Hot Drinks, from Breakfast Meals to Farmhouse Breakfast Omelets and up to Toasts and Sandwiches.

Although must try is the Hiker’s Delight – a banana and yogurt wrapped in homemade pancake with strawberry flavor. But I forgot to get this one; it is on my mind before coming to Sagada. What we ordered is Mexican Pork and Roasted Pork with Strawberry Preserves and Indian Salt and Pepper Yoghurts.

I ordered the white one - Indian Salt and Pepper. At first I don’t know what to order so I asked the waiter the best seller. I always do that if I’m not familiar with the diner. So he told me Indian one is the best seller. Unfortunately, I don’t like the taste. I’m sorry maybe not my preferred taste. I left it half.

I should say that Yoghurt House should be on the list when visiting Sagada. They served authentic and freshly cooked with own recipe coming for their own produced. And I I’ll go back here, Yoghurt House should revisited to satisfy my cravings.

It is open 6AM – 9PM Daily.

Address: Patay, 2619 Sagada.
The food is a lil pricey yet well deserved the best taste. Or maybe it's far from the capital Manila and one of the exclusive towns in the highlands. I believe this will be the next Baguio and hopefully will not be endured by mass emigration of businesses and commercial establishments.

PRICE RANGE
Hot Drinks: P25 - P90
Extra Hot Drinks: P100 - P120
Yoghurt Favorites: P70 - P100
Breakfast Meals: P130 - P170
Farmhouse Breakfast Omelet: P50 - P160
Toasts and Sandwiches: P50 - P160

@Oman: The Lemon Pie, I regret of not having visiting or tasting the best of it. :(

Well another reason to revisit Sagada.
